Build Better Bike Paths – City of Stirling

The importance of connected, active communities and safe neighbourhoods is more apparent than ever.

When business and activities slowed down to stop the spread of coronavirus in our communities, local families took up bicycling as a popular way to get to and from school, and local drivers opted in to bicycling where possible as a healthy transport alternative for short to medium distances.

And the positive impacts of physical activity on our mental health and on decreasing anxiety have also been highlighted over this period.

The time for safe, active, walkable and bicycle-friendly neighbourhoods is now.

We want to ensure bicycling is a safe and viable option for the whole community.

Within the City of Stirling, safe bicycle networks linking our local neighbourhoods with key community centres, local schools, shopping centres, parks and recreational facilities are long overdue.
